Installation of the Low Line Betty Combo
A few weeks ago now we launched our first range of cabinets called the Betty Collection. A line of cabinetry designed and manufactured right here in NSW, made to fit in all bay window kombis. Most of the products also fit in T3 vans, and our centre consoles also fit in other vans too.
We have had our own Kombi, Betty, as an unfinished project for way too long! So we decided to fit her out and start enjoying her. She is not finished, we still have a to-do list but we can now cruise around and enjoy her as well as plod along with that list and hopefully get her finished sometime soon! (fingers crossed).
We started with a fairly empty shell (we had seats and some door cards already in place) and in just 4hrs, she was fitted out and looking amazing. It really was easy. We took photos along the way to show you how simple it was and what products we used. (We used the Low Line Betty Combo in ours. Plus the floor.)
Enjoy!

Our floor is made from a completely waterproof composite material. It is made so it just fits in perfectly and levels out those annoying ridges on the floor of your kombi. It sits level with the outer rails and is then ready for you to lay the floor of your choice. https://dakdak.com.au/product/floor-panel/
We chose to lay these self adhesive vinyl planks from Bunnings. Super easy installation and they look great.
We got ones like this, i couldn’t find the exact colour we got online but there are plenty to choose from. https://www.bunnings.com.au/senso-urban-914-x-152-x-2mm-2-20m2-ceruse-blanc-self-adhesive-vinyl-planks-16-pack_p6600056

We then put in the centre console… super easy! This one comes built for you so all you have to do is slide it in between the seats and your done. (Its also been load tested to 140kg so feel free to stand on it and walk through to the back).

Next up was the Low Line Kitchen Unit. As you can see it has been designed to slot together with minimal screws and fixings (it does come with the screws and hinges that you need though). https://dakdak.com.au/product/low-line-kitchen/

Our fridge fit in easily. Then we cut a hole for the sink. The unit comes with a solid bench on top so you can choose to keep it as a bench or put in any sink you like.
The Island unit was next. Its slim line design fits nicely behind the passenger seat and has so much storage. I love this one! It has a clever little fold up table for extra bench space in the back, a fold down table on the side and is made to fit a gas cooker up top. https://dakdak.com.au/product/island-unit/

And that was it. Betty got a new look, was totally upgraded and now has so much storage! All in about 4 hours. As i said, she still has a ways to go but she is looking might fine!
